HI just an inquiry
Im in the process of collating my requirement for ACS
In my checklist are
Resume
BC/passport
COEs
diploma
TOR
payment
Should i include subject or course description? I came from Group 4 school but with 10 yrs of prosfessional exp in IT. I asked our registrar and she said that the mx no of subjects that I can request would only be 6.
How would I know what subjects should i request? please help. but if its not required then I should not worry at all.
Thanks.

Isnt it that your subjects is already printed in your TOR? IMO, TOR is just enough , i suggest you also include your all your training certificates relevant to your application.

Hi Ria,
Sorry, i cant advice you on CAV cause i didnt go through this process, in my case i just submitted a photocopy of my TOR and have it notarized.
For the trainings, whether its internally or any other trainings you attended as long as you have the certificates to prove your competency then it will be a great help to accurately assess your skills. Just remember ACS will assess you base on the documents that youre going to submit.
btw, before you submit your application make sure you use the updated guidelines.
Goodluck!

if you dont have extra copies of your COE, then a notarized copy should be fine. for the BC i suggest it should be NSO certified.
Good luck!

Hello,
Just want to ask if the docs that will be submitted to ACS will not be returned to the applicant? I plan to submit orig copy of my COEs but only have one complete sets. Anyway, if not, I guess I could have duplicate copies notarized instead.
Tnx.

Yes it will not be returned. In my case I have submitted my original COE since I have two copies. In your case I suggest a you submit a notorized copy.

Tnx a lot Sette! I hope to submit all requirements for ACS assessment by next week.
Also, can I ask here if it is sufficient to just submit a notarized photocopy of my NSO aunthenticated b.c. and not include notarized photocopied passport? You see I only requested one from NSO (after 6 mons. of processing for my middlename correction), and plan to use it for my passport renewal/name correction.
Anyhow, i could request another NSO authenticated b.c., and/or wait for my 'new' passport (in 2-4 wks time) before submitting ACS assessment applic. But i don't want to wait that long anymore.
Tnx in advance.

Tnx again Sette!
I have other questions with regards to filling-in the ACS Skills Asssement applic form:
1. What do I put under the ASCO code?
I think I fall under System Manager (ASCO 2231-11) but I want to nominate MODL (Computing Professionals - Network Security) w/c has ASCO 2231-79
2. Under 'Summary of Relevant Exp and Posistions Held', how do i fill-in the MODL Nomination part? Is it for each position held if possible? Is it ok also to just put 'Refer to attached Resume' in the 'Details (responsibilities, etc.)' part?
3. Under 'Tertiary Qualifications', I completed an MS in ComSci, but I'm a little confused about filling-in the part 'Was the qualification full-time or part-time' because I'm a part-time student when I took and finished it. So is the answer 'part-time' correct? Just wanted to make sure here.
I hope to submit all needed docs for ACS assessment by the end of the week. Just waiting for my corrected authenticate NSO certified birth certificate to be released.
TIA!

Hi Jon
My $0.02
1. What do I put under the ASCO code?
I think I fall under System Manager (ASCO 2231-11) but I want to nominate MODL (Computing Professionals - Network Security) w/c has ASCO 2231-79
If your aming for the MODL points then thats the way to go as long as you meet the skill set for this occupation and you have the qualifications and experiences.
2. Under 'Summary of Relevant Exp and Posistions Held', how do i fill-in the MODL Nomination part? Is it for each position held if possible? Is it ok also to just put 'Refer to attached Resume' in the 'Details (responsibilities, etc.)' part?
If i were to fill this in again, i would write the same remarks. I advice you to just put proper labeling on your attached docs to make it easier for the assesor to reference any details to your documents.
For the MODL part, i think you need to fill what is only appropriate.
Yup this is quite confusing, cant confirm. But in any case it is still the documents you submit that matters.

Tnx RJ! You've given me a clearer idea on how to proceed with my applic. I hope to pass MODL assessment.
Regards.
