Yes there is an Australian channel there. You can get the Sydney news,re runs of some serials, some wildlife shows and so on. I usually watch it when I am there.

If you cant please everyone make sure you at least please yourself.

Just digressing a bit...

Does anyone here share my annoyance that the sports channels have to be included in every cable price package??? How I wish we could switch to a company which allows you to choose your channels to view...Like I would gladly have more movie or special interest channels than any of the sports ones...or vice versa, some of you might not want the other channels and prefer 100% sports and news. I know I share this gripe with most of the women where I work, who don't get cable for this reason.

If anyone knows of a company like this, let us know and hundreds of cable-free households in Sydney alone could sign up straight away.

www.gmanews.tv/video - for filipino news

www.youtube.com - for boxing fights. go manny!

eto fresh news kay manny, hindi nga lang boxing:

130-pounder manny pacquiao lost to a 90-pounder female opponent. manny 18,535 votes; Darlene 34,112 votes.

buti nga, ang kulit kasi.

Sadly, the news broadcast in the Philippines is mostly of world news rather than Australian news. One can watch world news on the BBC or CNN. I wanted to know what was going on back home, rather than constant news of car bombings in Iraq.

Cheers

if you got fast internet, go to abs cbn website, and subscribe to abs cbn now-- you can almost watch all the kapamilya show--you need to pay about 12 US dollars/ month, which is not bad--I am a subscriber and satiefied with what i am getting so far..

I want to know if there is anything on TFC other than wowowee?

Every time I walk past the room with the Tagalog TV in it, there are a multitude of people with barely any teeth, trying to sing. I say "trying".

That has to be the worst so-call TV show I have ever seen.

By the way, the LCD screen TV is wasted in there, because the quality of the satellite picture is so crappy.

Cheers

(I do like the dancers on the show though)
